Im Bereich des Drucks auf Aluminium stehen bei Pixum zwei verschiedene Möglichkeiten zur Auswahl. Zum Einen gibt es den Direktdruck, zum Anderen die Variante Fineart. Bei dem Direktdruck wird das Foto direkt auf eine drei Millimeter breite Aluminiumverbundplatte gedruckt.
Das dabei entstehende Ergebnis besitzt eine matte Optik, die besonders dann ideal ist, wenn das Alu-Dibond in lichtdurchfluteten Räumen aufgehängt werden soll. Da sieben verschiedene UV-Farben beim Druck zum Einsatz kommen, ist das fertige Fotoprodukt nicht nur besonders farbbrillant, sondern auch beständig gegenüber von direkter Sonneneinstrahlung. Gleichzeitig ist diese Ausführung auch für Feuchträume wie das Badezimmer oder die Küche geeignet, da es resistent gegenüber von Feuchtigkeit und Spritzwasser ist.
Neben dem Direktdruck steht bei pixum.de noch die Fineart-Variante für einen Aluminium-Druck zur Verfügung: Hier belichtet das Team von Pixum das Foto zunächst auf einem speziellen Fotopapier aus und klebt es anschließend mithilfe einer Klebefolie auf die drei Millimeter starke Alu-Dibond-Platte auf. Das Ergebnis unterscheidet sich besonders durch seine Hochglanz-Optik von der Direktdruck-Variante.
Für die Direktdruck-Version gibt es bei www.pixum.de zahlreiche verschiedene Formate in unterschiedlichen Größen, während es bei der Fineart-Variante lediglich vier Größen sind. Die Halterung ist bei beiden Ausführungen inklusive. Es handelt sich hierbei um eine Konstruktion von Metallschienen, welche eine einfache Aufhängung ermöglicht. Nicht nur einzelne Fotos können bei Pixum als Alu-Dibonds angefertigt werden, sondern auch Collagen aus bis zu vier Aufnahmen, die anhand von zehn verschiedenen Vorlagen angeordnet werden können. Auch Fotoleisten mit bis zu acht Fotos in Reihe und individuell wählbaren Hintergründen sind möglich. Die Kunden von Pixum können sowohl die Collagen als auch die Fotoleisten mit einem eigenen Text ergänzen.
