Die Leinwände von meinXXL werden unter Verwendung von lösungsmittelfreier Latex-Tinte auf eine Profi-Leinwand gedruckt, die aus einem speziell dafür entwickelten Baumwoll- und Polyestergewebe besteht. Sie wird mit einer zusätzlichen Beschichtung versehen, damit die Farbe noch besser in das Leinwandgewebe eindringen kann. Nach dem Druck wird die Leinwand von dem meinXXL-Team in akribischer Handarbeit auf einen Keilrahmen aus Fichtenholz gespannt.
Standardmäßig wird ein Keilrahmen mit einer Stärke von zwei Zentimetern verwendet. Die Kunden können jedoch für einen Aufpreis von 5 Euro auch einen vier Zentimeter starken Keilrahmen wählen. Auch bei der Kantengestaltung der Leinwand haben die Kunden freie Wahl: Der Rand kann weiß, schwarz, gespiegelt oder gezerrt werden. In diesen Fällen geht von dem Bildmotiv nichts verloren. Die Kunden haben jedoch auch die Möglichkeit, die Ränder des Fotos über den Keilrahmen umschlagen zu lassen. Dann verkleinert sich der sichtbare Bereich des Motivs.
Um eine Leinwand bei meinXXL.de anfertigen zu lassen, laden die Nutzer ihr gewünschtes Foto direkt über den Browser hoch. Danach können sie auf das Bild bestimmte Effektfilter anwenden, um die Leinwand zum Beispiel in Schwarzweiß oder in Sepia zu gestalten. Mehr als 40 Formate gibt es bei meinXXL für die Fotoleinwand. Dabei stehen das digitale 4:3-Format, das klassische 3:2-Format, das Quadrat-Format, mehrere Panorama-Formate und das Kino-Format zur Auswahl. Auch mehrteilige Leinwände sind möglich.
Bei meinXXL.de können Kunden für die Leinwand noch allerhand Zubehör kaufen. So steht zum Beispiel ein passender Rahmen in Holzoptik im Angebot. Für kleine Leinwandformate gibt es einen Aufsteller, während man für größere Leinwände direkt das passende Aufhänge-Set mit bestellen kann.
