Die Leinwand, auf die bei PosterInXL gedruckt wird, besteht aus einem Polyestergewebe mit einer Grammatur von 280 Gramm pro Quadratmeter. Dieses Material hat den Vorteil, dass es besonders kratzfest ist.
Die für den Druck eingesetzten wasserbasierten Sublimationstinten sind sehr UV-beständig. Bei PosterInXL erhalten die Kunden eine Leinwand, die zu 100 Prozent frei von unerwünschten Reflexionen ist. Wenn die Leinwand ausgeliefert wird, ist sie bereits vollständig auf den aus Fichtenholz bestehenden Keilrahmen aufgespannt.
Bei PosterInXL kommen Keilrahmen mit einer Stärke von zwei Zentimetern zum Einsatz. Stärkere Keilrahmen gibt es nicht. Einfarbige Leinwandränder sind bei posterinxl.de nicht möglich. Stattdessen werden die Seiten des Bildmotivs an den Leinwandrändern gespiegelt. Das hat den Vorteil, dass der sichtbare Bereich des Fotos nicht verkleinert wird.
Um eine Leinwand bei posterinxl.de zu bestellen, wählen die Kunden zunächst ihr gewünschtes Format aus. Dabei stehen über 50 Größen in verschiedenen Längen und Breiten zur Auswahl. Die Nutzer können die Leinwand zum Beispiel im Quadrat-Format, in unterschiedlichen digitalen Formaten und im Panorama-Format drucken lassen. Auch Poster- und mehrere Sonderformate sind möglich. Auf Wunsch können die Kunden auch ein eigenes Format bestellen, wenn sie per E-Mail mit PosterInXL in Kontakt treten. Nachdem man sich für ein Format entschieden hat, lädt man das Foto über die Website hoch. Anschließend haben die Kunden noch die Möglichkeit, das Bild zu drehen und zurechtzuschneiden sowie verschiedene Effekte hinzuzufügen.
Bei einigen ausgewählten Formaten ist es möglich, die Leinwand mit einem Rahmen zu ergänzen. Dafür wird jedoch ein Aufpreis berechnet. Da die Leinwand hängefertig zu den Kunden nach Hause geliefert wird, ist kein zusätzliches Montageset notwendig.
